        * config/alpha/elf.h (PREFERRED_DEBUGGING_TYPE): Set to DWARF2_DEBUG.
        (ASM_SPEC): Disable and enable .mdebug based on -gstabs.
        (ASM_FILE_START): Only write out ecoff .file directive if
        emitting mdebug debugging.
